You also cannot use it with b&w film or Kodachrome slides because they partially block infrared. It is slow as molasses, apparently not optimized for modern CPUs. It does not handle big defects but does OK with little bits of lint. It uses infrared to detect dust so it knows exactly what to try to remove.
